Role Description

The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in London, responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Day-to-day tasks include managing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supervising the accounting function, and maintaining robust internal controls. The role involves overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing financial performance, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The Financial Controller will collaborate with senior leadership, project teams, and international offices to ensure financial compliance, optimize resource allocation, and support continued growth. This role also includes managing relationships with external auditors and advisors, ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Accounting and Finance, with a solid understanding of core financial principles and practices.
  • Skills in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, review, and interpretation of management and statutory reports.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal control frameworks.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field are highly beneficial.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP or accounting systems, Excel, and financial modeling, along with clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in a technology, software, or professional services environment and familiarity with multi-entity or international operations are advantageous.
