Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the finance function across a growing group of businesses, initially focusing on two newer entities before becoming involved across the wider group as the business continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the handover of management accounts, banking arrangements, and HMRC registrations for newly acquired businesses.
- Manage day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Manage cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.
- Complete bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and tax-related processes.
- Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
- Liaise with external accountants regarding year-end accounts.
- Monitor banking facilities, loan commitments, and financial obligations.
- Support project cost planning and analysis.
- Assist with building and developing the finance team as the business grows.
- Take increasing ownership of forecasting, reporting, and strategic financial management.

We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent) with 2-3 years' post-qualified experience.
- Has strong management accounting, financial planning, and cashflow management experience.
- Can work autonomously and take ownership of the finance function.
- Is commercially minded, proactive, and forward-thinking.
- Enjoys working within a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
- Has the confidence to challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders.
- Understands the dynamics of a family business and can build trusted relationships.
- Is excited by growth, change, and the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the business.
- Demonstrates absolute discretion, integrity, and trustworthiness.
