The Opportunity
A private equity-backed SaaS business is seeking a high-calibre Financial Controller to support the next phase of its growth journey. With a highly scalable recurring revenue model and strong market position, the business is focused on driving operational excellence, enhancing reporting capabilities, and delivering value creation initiatives ahead of a future exit event.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers significant exposure to senior leadership, investors, and key strategic projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening financial controls, improving reporting processes, and helping to build a best-in-class finance function.

The Role
You will lead all aspects of financial control, statutory reporting, audit, and compliance, whilst supporting commercial decision-making and finance transformation initiatives across the group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of monthly management accounts and reporting cycle
- Management of group consolidations across multiple entities
- Production of board, lender, and investor reporting packs
- Responsibility for statutory accounts and external audit process
- Oversight of revenue recognition and SaaS reporting metrics
- Full balance sheet ownership and control environment management
- Cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- Partnering with department heads to support business performance
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning processes
- Driving finance process improvement and systems optimisation
- Enhancing financial controls, governance, and compliance frameworks
- Leading and developing a growing finance team

Candidate Profile
- ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Strong financial control and reporting experience
- Experience managing audits, statutory reporting, and consolidations
- Prior exposure to SaaS, technology, fintech, or recurring revenue businesses
- Strong understanding of financial controls and process improvement
- Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams
- Commercially minded with strong analytical capability
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience within a PE-backed, high-growth, or scaling environment
- Systems implementation or finance transformation experience beneficial
