Search are supporting the recruitment of a part-time Financial Controller to join an established business in Edinburgh.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, this is a broad and commercially focused role with responsibility for the entire finance function across multiple entities.
This opportunity would be well suited to an experienced Financial Controller or an ambitious Management Accountant looking to step into a more strategic role. The role offers a genuine blend of strategic exposure and hands-on finance, providing regular interaction with senior decision-makers while remaining closely involved in reporting, forecasting, cash flow and financial control activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the finance function across multiple group entities
- Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets & cashflow reporting
- Deliver commercial insight & financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Partner with operational leaders to improve profitability & business performance
- Maintain financial controls, balance sheet integrity & statutory compliance
- Manage year-end accounts, consolidations & audit processes
- Oversee payroll, treasury & investment reporting activities
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks & professional advisors
- Lead finance process improvements & system developments
- Manage & develop finance team

Skills and experience that will benefit your application:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar role
- Management accounting, forecasting and financial reporting experience
- Experience working across multiple entities and jurisdictions
- Analytical skills with ability to translate financial data into business insight
- Commercial, resilient mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Experience leading process improvements and finance transformation initiatives
- Experience overseeing company investments or investment reporting
