Financial Controller
Multi-Site Business Salary up to £100,000 + bonus & benefits
Hybrid working - London offices
We are looking for a commercially minded and technically accomplished Financial Controller to take ownership of the financial accounting and control function within a multi-site business.
This is a senior leadership position suited to someone who enjoys balancing technical excellence with operational leadership. You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining a strong control environment and ensuring the business meets its statutory and regulatory obligations across multiple legal entities. You will play an integral role in supporting the organisation's growth and strengthening its financial governance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee the production of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial results across the Group.
- Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements and coordinate the external audit process, acting as the primary contact for auditors and professional advisers.
- Ensure balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliations, reviews and effective financial controls.
- Review and enhance accounting policies, financial procedures and internal control frameworks to support a scalable finance function.
- Manage Group cash flow, providing visibility of liquidity and supporting effective treasury management across UK and overseas operations.
- Take responsibility for the organisation's insurance portfolio, including renewals, policy administration and claims management.
- Lead, coach and develop the financial accounting team, promoting collaboration, accountability and continuous professional development.
- Work alongside external finance providers to ensure accurate local reporting and compliance across international entities.
- Monitor changes in accounting regulations and ensure the business remains compliant with all applicable financial reporting and statutory requirements.
- Produce high-quality financial information and analysis to support strategic decision-making, governance and business performance.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting capabilities.

About You

- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Demonstrable experience in financial control, statutory reporting and external audit management.
- Strong understanding of financial governance, internal controls and regulatory compliance.
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing finance teams, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style.
- Previous experience working within a multi-site organisation, ideally across multiple legal entities or international operations.
- A track record of reviewing, simplifying and improving finance processes, controls and systems to drive efficiency and best practice.
- Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous approach to accuracy and problem solving.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering high-quality financial outcomes.
