About The Role

We are hiring a Financial Controller to lead the integrity, accuracy, and governance of Arcade’s financial reporting and control environment across our growing multi-site estate. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will own the month-end close, statutory reporting, audit, tax compliance, revenue control, cash management, and balance sheet.

This is a hands-on senior finance role for someone who is comfortable moving between detailed financial control, team leadership, and operational business partnering.

You will work closely with the Commercial Finance Manager and Operations teams, ensuring our commercial decisions are underpinned by accurate, timely, and reliable financial information.

You will lead and develop the Financial Accountant, AP and AR teams, and Payroll Manager, while building the systems, controls, and capability needed to support Arcade’s future growth and new openings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning the monthly, quarterly and annual close across all sites, central functions and Group entities
  • Producing accurate management accounts, site-level P&Ls, board packs and KPI reporting
  • Maintaining the integrity of the balance sheet, General Ledger and Chart of Accounts
  • Owning revenue reconciliation across POS, card, cash, delivery platforms, gift cards, deposits and deferred income
  • Working with Operations to identify margin leakage, including wastage, yield, portioning, discounting and loss
  • Monitoring labour costs, rota-to-payroll variances and productivity alongside Operations and Payroll
  • Managing cash flow, working capital, treasury processes and supplier payment controls
  • Managing lease accounting, including IFRS 16, turnover rents and lease events
  • Preparing statutory accounts and leading the annual external audit
  • Coordinating corporation tax, VAT and PAYE compliance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
