Financial Controller
Suffolk
£50,000 - £60,000
We're looking for a Financial Controller to join a growing and dynamic organisation in Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified finance professional to play a key role in supporting business performance, driving financial controls, and providing valuable commercial insight.
This could be suitable for qualified management accountants, financial accountants or finance managers looking for a step up to financial controller level.
Equally ambitious auditors and practice trained accountants would be encouraged to apply.
About the Role
Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, managing cash flow, overseeing budgeting and forecasting activities, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

This is a hands-on role that combines financial control, business partnering, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end financial processes
- Prepare and review management accounts
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Provide meaningful financial analysis and reporting
- Oversee VAT and other regulatory submissions
- Support external audit requirements
- Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Lead, mentor and develop members of the finance team
- Support strategic business initiatives through financial insight
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
- Strong management accounting and financial control experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems knowledge
- Previous team management experience
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
