The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a company which is a leader in its market and has very ambitious growth plans. The role will report to the Divisional Commercial Manager and intrinsically will need to have close coordination and communication with the CFO, the.
Bachy Soletanche has three trading divisions North, South and Projects, this role is specifically reporting for the financial interests of the Projects Division. The division delivers the largest and most complex projects across the business and this role will be managing the financial accounts/reports, project forecasts, risks and opportunities and supporting the project teams with financial strategies.

What You'll Be Doing
- Preparation of regular group reports including monthly management accounts, cash reporting and quarterly forecasts;
- Working with site teams across the Projects Divisions, and the shared service department, to review and understand monthly costs whilst improving accuracy and efficiency;
- Periodically visiting job sites;
- Driving cost efficiency through transparency and presentation of information to the project teams;
- Reconciling accounts;
- Compliance activities: audit, disallowed cost risk assessments supporting the project teams with compliance meetings;
- Provide support to the project teams and Division relating to digital tasks and improvements;
- Ensuring cross-pollination of lessons learnt between projects with a particular focus on disallowed cost risks on Defined Cost projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant
- Proven Staff management and motivation skills.
- Working across multiple sites, preferably in a PLC reporting environment
- Hands on with ability to get into the detail
- Consolidated accounts production experience
- Strong Excel, PowerBI skills
- Strong skills in accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines
- Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Inquisitive
Nice to haves
- Experience of Peoplesoft accounting packages, SAGE
- Experience of embedding robust & scalable accounting/control processes
- Construction or engineering sector experience
- Commercial/Contractual knowledge especially within NEC contract frameworks
