Financial Controller
A well-established charity with UK and international operations, including subsidiaries in Israel, is seeking to appoint a Financial Controller to join its finance team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, this is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to take ownership of the organisation’s financial controls, reporting and day-to-day finance operations within a purpose-driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee monthly management accounts across multiple entities within the Charity Group.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day financial control function, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking and reconciliations.
- Oversee month-end processes and ensure all reporting deadlines are consistently met.
- Prepare, monitor and analyse Group cash flow forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities to the Finance Director.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of financial records.
- Review financial transactions and controls to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and compliance with internal procedures.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing meaningful financial analysis and insight.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date accounting records are maintained using Xero.
- Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and coordinate with external auditors.

Candidate Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, part-qualified or finalist candidates will also be considered.
- Strong financial accounting and management reporting experience.
- Previous experience working in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar role.
- Experience supervising, mentoring or managing a small finance team.
- Essential experience using Xero.
