Financial Controller - Design & Creative Services

London - Hybrid - Permanent - Hands On Finance Ownership

£85,000-£95,000 + discretionary bonus

Are you a Financial Controller who wants day to day ownership of Finance? Do you thrive in a project-based business where producing the reporting is only half the job, and the conversations behind the numbers are the other half?

We Do Group are hiring a Financial Controller for an international design business with studios across Europe and Asia. The business was recently acquired by a larger international group, and the UK finance function is now regarded as the strongest in that group - the intention is to use it as the model elsewhere.

This is a central role rather than a back office one. You will own reporting & FP&A for the group, run the consolidation, and be the finance face to project leads across the business.

Wish List

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA / CIMA) likely 5 years+ PQE
  • Previous experience in a reporting ownership capacity
  • Diplomatic and considered communicator - comfortable holding detailed monthly conversations with creative and non-finance teams

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
