Recruitment Solutions (NW) are pleased to be working exclusively to appoint a Finance Controller to our Client’s business with a TO in the region of £6m. The appointment of a new Finance Controller forms part of the growth plan to move the business to a £10 m TO business by 2030.
The role of Finance Controller will report to the MD of this family driven Group operating for over two decades. Our Client has an impressive Order Book across a range of Sectors including Food / Oil and Gas and Retail. The business works across the Globe including Europe / North Africa and the Middle East.
As Finance Controller you will be supported by a small – loyal and very focused Finance and Admin team.
WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF THE NEW FINANCE CONTROLLER
- Review of the current Finance Operating Systems – we are not looking for change for change’s sake – we are looking for finesse and the implementation of Finance practices that will achieve the goal of a TO of £10m by 2030
- Have a passion to continue strong Cost Controls – to be able to review Trends / Market Analysis and feed this into the WIP and strong on time Delivery of Orders
- Be detail orientated behind the numbers – to work with the On Site Teams to impact on final Costings / Profit of Product and Order
- Be able to work with the Chamber of Commerce to secure Grants to assist with Innovation and Growth

You will also have the Daily / Weekly / Monthly functions of a Finance Controller to include;
- Preparation of Accounts for Year End – working with external Accountants
- Preparation and Review of Monthly Management Accounts with the Senior Leadership team
- Oversee the day to day Finance function of Sales / Purchase Ledger, Credit Control and Payroll
Our Client needs an Finance Controller that can ensure that the day to day Finance functions continue as well as they has done but who is also a Finance Controller who can work to grow the business – Internally through increased Profit and maximisation of Sales but also potentially via Acquisition.

- Annual Salary of c £55,000 – £65,000
- Annual Performance Related Appraisal
- Flex Start – Finish times can be offered – this is a full time / office based role
- 20 Days Holidays AND Bank Holidays

There are no limits to how invested you can become as the Finance Controller into this business – we are looking for a mature character who has proven skills and experience of working in a business and who has a hands on approach and where every single person matters.
You can be ACCA / CIMA / ACA Qualified or Qualified by Experience
The Interview process will be;
- Initial First Stage Interview with Karen Reynolds
- First Interview with the business on Site to meet the MD and External Accountant
- Second Interview on Site – to have a tour / meet the team and answer your final questions
