Description
Role Purpose
The Financial Controller will take ownership of the day-to-day financial control and reporting of the business, providing accurate financial insight while supporting senior leadership with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and commercial decision-making. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on improving processes, controls, and reporting as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the monthly management accounts, reporting pack, and detailed variance analysis.
- Provide clear financial insight and commentary to senior management, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, and scenario modelling.
- Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring accuracy and integrity across the ledger.
- Oversee VAT, statutory reporting, year-end accounts, and audit requirements.
- Monitor working capital, debtor performance, and cash collection.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and system efficiency.
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams to improve financial visibility and decision-making.
- Drive automation, data accuracy, and continuous improvement across the finance function.
- Support the wider finance team and contribute to the development of a robust, scalable finance operation.

Profile
A successful Finance Manager should have:
- Professional accounting qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Proven experience in running a finance function in an SME.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
Job Offer
- £60,000 - £75,000 + Bonus
- Hybrid working
