Financial Controller | PE Backed Technology

Salary: £100,000 - £110,000 + bonus and benefits

I am currently partnering with a PE backed Technology company who are looking for a Financial Controller to come and join a growing team. For this role you will be leading a small team and taking full ownership of the finance function reporting into a CFO.

For this role you will have ideally worked in a similar role where you will have the autonomy to improve and implement processes. This is a very exciting role for someone who likes to work in a fast paced environment and one where they can make a real difference.

Responsibilities

  • Own the month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely Group reporting.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
  • Oversee Group consolidation, intercompany accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Take ownership of Group cash flow, working capital and short-term cash forecasting.
  • Partner with FP&A to ensure accurate actuals, performance reporting and financial analysis.
  • Prepare financial reporting for the CFO, Board and PE investors, including monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Lead the year-end statutory accounts and external audit process, managing auditors and advisers.
  • Maintain and strengthen the financial control environment, ensuring accounting policies and processes are consistently applied.
  • Support M&A activity and integration of acquired businesses, including bringing new entities into Group reporting.
  • Drive finance transformation, process improvement and automation to improve the efficiency and scalability of the function.
  • Manage and develop the financial accounting / wider finance team, ensuring strong delivery and controls.
  • Support the CFO with refinancing, transactions, strategic projects and exit preparation.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Commercial and Operations, providing financial insight and maintaining robust controls.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
