The Company

Axon Moore is partnering with a rapidly scaling professional services organisation as it looks to appoint an ambitious Financial Controller to support its continued UK and international expansion. The business operates in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment, combining data-led decision making with an entrepreneurial culture. With c.110 staff across multiple UK offices and ambitious plans to expand into several overseas jurisdictions, the organisation is preparing for significant growth over the next 4–5 years.

This is a senior operational finance role, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting where finance is central to strategic decision making.

Job Title: Financial Controller
Salary: £110,000 – £130,000 + benefits
Location: London (hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote)

The Role:

As Financial Controller, you will run the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and control across all core processes. You will lead a team of eight (two direct reports), covering billing, management accounting and cashiering.

You will own the monthly close, management accounts, and control environment, partnering with C-suite and key stakeholders. As the organisation expands into new jurisdictions, the role will naturally evolve — offering increasing exposure to commercial finance, cross-border operations, systems development, and strategic projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
