Alexander Lloyd are exclusively partnering with a rapidly expanding PE backed SAAS business located in Central Sussex.

Due to continued growth and working alongside a truly outstanding FD the business are looking for a Qualified ACA/ACCA Financial Controller

This is the perfect opportunity for someone making the first move from practice or who is practice trained moved into industry and looking for that next step!

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Own the trial balances for all UK legal entities, ensuring accounting entries are accurate, complete, and reconciled at each month-end close
  • Review and post journals with a high degree of technical accuracy, including areas such as consolidations, intercompany transactions, and financial instruments
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure the books are audit-ready at all times
  • Identify and resolve reconciling items promptly, escalating where appropriate rather than letting issues sit
  • Deliver the monthly management reporting pack to deadline, covering P&L, variance analysis and commentary,
  • Assist with financial planning and analysis,
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts, keeping assumptions current and flagging material movements early
  • Support budgeting and reforecasting cycles as required
  • Play an active role in the new system migration, owning data integrity, chart of accounts mapping, and the transition to BAU reporting

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified - Practice trained
  • Either making the first move from Practice - Ideally manager level, Top 10/Mid Tier or practice trained with industry exposure and now looking to make that next step
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced Excel
  • Strong all round accounting knowledge
