Financial Controller – High-Growth Mobile App

Location: London / Remote
Working pattern: 1 day per week in London
Salary: £85,000–£95,000 + bonus
Start date: December

A high-growth mobile app business is looking for a Financial Controller to join its finance team at an exciting stage of international growth.

This is a broad FC role with significant ownership across the group, working closely with senior stakeholders and taking responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the group financial control environment and play a key role in ensuring the business has robust reporting and processes as it continues to scale.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the month-end and year-end close process
  • Preparing and reviewing group management accounts
  • Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
  • Managing group consolidation and intercompany accounting
  • Supporting statutory reporting and the year-end audit
  • Working across multiple entities and jurisdictions
  • Improving financial processes, controls and reporting
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and wider FP&A activity
  • Providing analysis and insight into financial performance
  • Supporting the continued international growth of the group
  • Managing and developing finance processes as the business scales

What We're Looking For

This role would suit an ACA-qualified accountant who has already worked in a group environment and is comfortable taking ownership of a broad financial control remit.

You'll need:

  • ACA qualification – essential
  • Strong experience in a group / multi-entity environment
  • Proven experience across management accounts and financial control
  • Strong consolidation and intercompany experience
  • Experience with statutory accounts and audit
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge
  • Strong Excel and systems skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with senior stakeholders
  • Mobile app, SaaS, subscription or broader technology experience would be advantageous
  • Available to start in December
