Financial Controller | London Market | Private Equity-Backed Specialty MGA
A rapidly growing specialty MGA in the London Market, backed by a leading private equity investor is looking for an FC. As the business's first Financial Controller, you will report directly to the CFO and play a defining role in building the infrastructure, controls and team that will support the company through its next phase of growth, including its transition to full FCA authorisation. For a driven, commercially-minded finance professional, this is a genuine platform to fast-track toward Head of Finance within three to five years.

Responsibilities
- Reporting to the CFO, you will own financial reporting and management accounts, as well as focusing on FCA compliance as the business moves from Appointed Representative status to direct authorisation.
- You will drive the implementation of a new policy administration system alongside existing finance systems, and as the team grows, you will build, mentor and develop the finance function beneath you.
- You will also act as a key business partner to underwriting, claims and operations, ensuring finance is embedded across the business.

Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) essential, whether that's around two years post-qualification or a longer track record within the London Market, syndicate, MGA or broker.
- You will be a hands-on operator by instinct, comfortable rolling up your sleeves in a lean, fast-moving environment rather than working within the rigid structures of a larger organisation.
- Above all, you will bring genuine ambition, resilience and a desire to build something significant.
