Are you a people-focused finance leader looking for an opportunity to make a real impact within a growing, international business? We're partnering with an ambitious organisation that is investing heavily in its future growth and is seeking a Financial Controller to lead its finance function. This is a pivotal role offering significant visibility across the business, ownership of financial control activities, and the opportunity to develop and mentor a talented finance team.
This position would suit an established Financial Controller or an ambitious Finance Manager ready to take the next step into a broader leadership role.
Your New Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you'll take responsibility for leading a small finance team whilst driving operational excellence across the finance function. You'll play a key role in supporting business growth, improving financial processes and providing meaningful insight to help shape strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing finance team.
- Driving improvements across financial controls, reporting and processes.
- Managing month-end and year-end activities.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
- Providing financial analysis and insight to senior stakeholders.
- Overseeing revenue recognition and financial reporting activities.
- Working closely with operational leaders to improve performance and support growth initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency through process improvement and automation.

What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional with strong leadership skills and the ability to bring people with them. You'll ideally have:
- Previous Financial Controller experience.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Strong financial reporting and financial control experience.
- Proven people management and team development skills.
- Experience within a project-based, technology, software, professional services or similar environment would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused approach.

What You'll Get in Return
- Salary of £65,000 - £75,000.
- Flexible hybrid working. You'll be in office 2-3 days a week.
