Financial Controller Opportunity
A leading global entertainment organisation is seeking a Financial Controller to join their finance HQ in London. The role will serve as a hands-on finance professional with comprehensive responsibility for controllership activities across multiple jurisdictions. This is a strategic yet operationally intensive Financial Controller position that demands both technical expertise and business acumen.
The Role
- Oversee all controllership functions
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and group-wide reporting standards across all jurisdictions
- Design, implement, and maintain streamlined financial processes that optimise efficiency without compromising accuracy
- Lead the internal controls framework, identifying and mitigating financial risks across the international network
- Develop and monitor comprehensive budgeting processes, providing analytical insights to support strategic decision-making
- Coordinate closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless annual group audit execution
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports for senior leadership review
- Manage two direct reports and provide guidance to indirect reporting lines

The Person

- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent)
- Extensive progressive experience in controllership or senior finance roles
- Demonstrated expertise in multi-jurisdictional financial management and consolidation
- Strong working knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and various regulatory environments
- Strong SOX experience
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all organisational levels
