Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Financial Controller role based at Majestic Hotel Cardiff in the United Kingdom. The Financial Controller oversees day-to-day hotel finance operations, including managing accounting processes, preparing monthly and annual financial statements, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across the property.

- Oversees day-to-day hotel finance operations
- Manages accounting processes
- Prepares monthly and annual financial statements
- Ensures accurate financial reporting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Monitoring cash flow
- Managing payroll and cost controls
- Supports revenue management with clear financial analysis
- Maintains internal controls
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and company policies
- Coordinates with external auditors when required
- Works closely with hotel leadership to provide financial insight, support commercial decision-making, and contribute to the long-term financial performance of the hotel and wider group
Qualifications
- Strong Accounting and Finance skills, including hands-on experience with hotel or hospitality finance operations.
- Ability to prepare and interpret Financial Statements and deliver accurate, timely Financial Reporting.
- Excellent Analytical Skills for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel, including reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience in a senior finance role.
- Knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements within the hospitality sector is beneficial.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support non-finance stakeholders in understanding financial performance.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain high levels of accuracy and integrity.
