UK Finance Controller | PE Backed TMT
Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 + bonus and benefits
Location: London
Working Model: Hybrid working
I am exclusively partnering with a PE backed TMT business who are growing rapidly due to being acquired by a new PE firm. For this role you will be leading a small team and play a key role in a highly acquisitive business.
For this role you will report into the CFO and have the autonomy to take full ownership of the finance function making process improvement and scaling a growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Group month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Review entity submissions, consolidations, intercompany activity, and Group-level adjustments.
- Maintain strong balance sheet controls, including reconciliations and resolution of outstanding items.
- Oversee statutory reporting and support the preparation of financial statements.
- Manage the external audit process and coordinate information requests across the business.
- Support technical accounting, compliance, and the consistent application of Group accounting policies.
- Identify control gaps and opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.
- Lead and develop members of the accounting team while helping standardise processes across multiple entities.
- Work closely with the wider Finance team to ensure accurate, controlled, and reliable financial information.

- Qualified ACA/ ACCA or equivalent to be considered for the role, with ideally 5 years PQE experience.
- Strong audit background and experience working within a group function would be beneficial.
- Experience working with multi-entity group consolidation and having managed a small team is beneficial.
- Prior experience from working in a PE backed environment is essential.
- Previously have worked in industry and not straight from practice.
