Financial Controller | Milton Keynes
We are working with an established UK healthcare recruitment and workforce solutions business that supports organisations across the public and private sectors with permanent and temporary staffing solutions.
The business operates across a large professional network and has a significant contractor and locum workforce, alongside permanent recruitment and wider workforce solutions. With UK and international operations, the organisation has a complex, high-volume finance environment and is continuing to develop its finance function.

This is a broad, hands-on position covering financial reporting, month-end, statutory accounts, controls, cash flow and tax, with regular exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Take ownership of the balance sheet, reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Oversee statutory accounts and manage the external audit process.
- Maintain and strengthen the group's financial controls and processes.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital and treasury reporting.
- Take responsibility for tax compliance, including Corporation Tax, VAT and employment taxes, working alongside external advisers where appropriate.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning alongside the wider finance team.
- Provide accurate financial analysis and insight to the CFO and senior leadership team.
- Partner with operational teams to improve financial performance, controls and decision-making.
- Lead and develop members of the finance team.
- Support wider finance projects, systems improvements and process transformation.
