Equifind are supporting one of the world’s largest alternative asset managers, focused on delivering lasting value. Their global reach enables investment in a wide variety of dynamic sectors all focused on long term growth.

They are hiring a Group Financial Controller. This is a broad role where the individual will play an integral part in core financial and regulatory reporting as well as projects.

The Role

A diverse position overseeing a team of two direct reports

Financial reporting for EMEA and APAC regions

  • Financial reporting and close Oversee and review monthly, quarterly and annual results for corporate entities prepared by the external administrator, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and alignment with relevant accounting standards. Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for group management reporting, including variance analysis and key trends.
  • Budgeting and forecasting Lead the annual budget and regular reforecasts for senior management and Group corporate finance, encompassing management fee revenue, personnel and other costs, and investment income.
  • Management reporting and senior stakeholder communication Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting packs covering performance, variance to budget, exceptional items, material cost drivers, headcount movements and cost allocation impacts — with meaningful forward-looking commentary on risks and opportunities. Proactively escalate financial results and risks to senior management.
  • Group finance liaison Act as senior point of contact for Bridgepoint Group Finance on cost allocations, intercompany balances and group reporting adjustments, ensuring high-quality data is delivered for inclusion in consolidated reporting.
  • Board reporting Own the financial content of semi-annual board packs, ensuring consistent messaging, data integrity and alignment with statutory filings. Work with senior leadership on messaging around cash management, profitability, financial outlook and the control environment.
  • Financial control and balance sheet ownership Operate and oversee key controls: management fee calculations and accrual reviews (with fund finance); balance sheet ownership and reconciliation across cash, intercompany and accruals; cashflow management; and fund recharges, accounts payable and employee expenses.
  • Audit and control framework Own the statutory audit process across all corporate entities, including planning, oversight and stakeholder management. Maintain and enhance the internal control framework across finance operations in line with Bridgepoint's Group Financial Control Framework.
  • Process improvement and automation Lead automation of financial workflows, dashboarding and data visualisation across corporate finance, and drive control remediation and continuous improvement.
  • Ad hoc projects as required

  • Ideally 5-8 years PQE experience +
  • Private Markets experience
  • Experience across US/APAC
  • Positive and proactive nature
  • Ability to deal with senior stakeholders and run a team of qualified accountants
