Membership organisation | London (hybrid) | Up to £70,000 p/a
We are partnering with a leading trade association in their search for a new Financial Controller.
The successful applicant will oversee all accounting and treasury operations, providing insight to senior management and delivering strong financial control, high-quality forecasting, and compliant reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Manage treasury activity, including cashflow forecasting, cash management policies, and treasury risk
- Lead and develop the Finance team and oversee day-to-day accounting, including revenue recognition, credit control, supplier payments, and bank accounts
- Lead budgeting and forecasting, producing monthly and annual reporting on results, trends, and variances
- Prepare the statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legislation
- Manage tax compliance and oversee outsourced payroll, pension administration, and insurance
- Maintain strong financial controls and document accounting policies and processes
- Continuously seek to improve accounting processes and systems
- Act as business partner to budget holders, supported by the management accountant
- Contribute to strategic planning and business projects

Essential experience

- Qualified accountant
- Treasury management experience, including cashflow forecasting and developing cash management policies
- Proven track record of leading and developing a finance team
- Experience developing financial policies and procedures, with strong risk and control experience
- Commercial background with a clear understanding of the needs of a membership organisation
Package
Up to £70,000 depending on experience, annual bonus, pension, and hybrid working.
