Financial Controller

Salary: Competitive salary + benefits

About Our Client

Our client is one of the UK's leading independent professional trustee firms, with over 20 years in business and an outstanding track record delivering trusteeship and governance services to a wide range of the UK's largest occupational pension schemes. Fiercely independent, with industry-leading expertise, the firm is known for the quality and consistency of the outcomes it delivers for its clients.

About the Role

This is a key hire for the business. Reporting directly to the CFO and Managing Director, the Financial Controller sits on the firm's executive committee and plays an active role in the day-to-day management of the company. This is a role for a genuine free thinker — someone comfortable managing a team, external providers, and a range of internal stakeholders, with real autonomy to shape how the finance function operates.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
