EA First is delighted to be partnering with a major international logistics business to recruit an experienced Financial Controller on a 15-month fixed-term contract.
Operating across logistics, infrastructure, and supply chain solutions, the organisation helps businesses move goods efficiently between international markets through a combination of large-scale physical infrastructure, operational expertise, and technology.
Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Financial Controller will take ownership of financial control and reporting across key UK operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing financial control across revenue, operational costs, capital expenditure, and cash flow.
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining strong accounting controls and processes.
- Supporting statutory accounts, VAT, CIS, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Managing internal and external audit activity and ensuring compliance with UK and international accounting standards.
- Driving improvements across finance systems, cash forecasting, and wider financial processes.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to support business performance, planning, and strategic objectives.
- Managing key banking relationships and supporting funding requirements.
- Leading, coaching, and developing members of the Finance team while promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture.

The successful Financial Controller will be an experienced finance professional with a strong track record of operating within a complex commercial environment.

You will ideally demonstrate:
- A professional finance/accounting qualification, with a degree preferred.
- A proven track record within finance and financial control.
- Strong knowledge of UK and international accounting standards.
- Significant management experience combined with strong leadership capability.
- Experience managing multiple complex financial issues and competing priorities simultaneously.
- The ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines and time pressures.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
