Are you an experienced finance leader looking for a role that combines strategic influence with hands-on financial control? Do you enjoy leading teams, improving processes, and partnering with operational stakeholders in a fast-moving commercial environment?
We are working exclusively with a well-established, multi-entity organisation that plays a significant role within its sector across the UK. As a result of continued growth and development, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Financial Controller to join the leadership team and take ownership of a complex and varied finance function.
The Opportunity
This is far more than a traditional reporting role. You'll be responsible for leading an established finance team, overseeing financial operations across multiple business streams, and ensuring robust financial reporting and governance. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in driving financial performance, supporting decision-making, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
