The Company

My client is a leading, multi-site manufacturing and engineering group specialising in high-precision components for the global aerospace sector. Operating across four key UK sites, the business is currently restructuring into a unified executive leadership team to drive cohesive group performance. Following this transformation, they are looking to hire a sharp, commercially minded Financial Controller & FP&A Manager to sit between central leadership and local operational teams.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a high-visibility, dual-focused role combining strategic financial planning with core governance and control. Managing a Management Accountant, you will act as a key commercial partner to the CEO, Board, and divisional leadership teams, helping turn complex operational data into actionable strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the group-wide budgeting, forecasting, and five-year planning cycles while establishing standardised KPIs across all business units.
  • Working closely with local site leads and finance heads to challenge assumptions, review profitability, and drive cash generation.
  • Managing the end-to-end audit process across multiple legal entities, alongside oversight for tax compliance, insurance, and risk management.
  • Preparing executive and board packs that explain the commercial drivers behind performance, risks, and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Leading initiatives to automate reporting, streamline data collection, and upgrade existing finance processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
