Financial Controller | PE backed renewables

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 + bonus and benefits

Location: London

Working arrangement: Hybrid working

I am exclusively partnering with a PE backed renewables business which is growing due to some significant funding from a new PE firm. This is a newly created role and one where you will have a broad remit and a small, growing team to lead.

For this role you will report into the Finance Director and have the autonomy to take full ownership of the function making improvements and grow the team.

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of the Group month-end and close, ensuring clear deadlines.
  • Ensure management accounts are complete and aligned to Group accounting policies.
  • Prepare Statutory financial statements and manage the audit timetable.
  • Take ownership of the technical accounting papers and support on any M&A transactions where required.
  • Work with senior leadership to drive decision making and work closely with the FP&A team.
  • Improve and implement any processes and procedures to create efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Qualified ACA/ ACCA or equivalent to be considered for the role, with ideally 5 years PQE experience.
  • Strong audit background and experience working within a group function would be beneficial.
  • Experience working with multi-entity group consolidation and having managed a small team is beneficial.
  • Experience working in a PE backed business would be beneficial.
