Financial reporting and month-end close
Run the monthly close for the management company and group entities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, intercompany and bank reconciliations.
Produce monthly management accounts and KPI packs for the CFO and partners, with commentary on performance against budget.
Prepare annual statutory financial statements under UK GAAP (FRS 102), US GAAP and/or IFRS, and manage the external audit for each entity.
Prepare group consolidations and maintain the intercompany and transfer pricing framework between affiliates.
Revenue, partner allocations and compensation
Calculate and reconcile management and performance fee income receivable from the funds, working with Fund Finance.

Prepare LLP member profit allocations, drawings and capital accounts, and support the year-end allocation process.
Support the bonus and deferred compensation process, including accruals, deferral schemes and payroll inputs.
Budgeting, forecasting and cost control
Lead the annual budget and rolling forecasts for the management company, including headcount, technology and research costs.
Track costs against budget, review vendor contracts and allocate expenses between the manager and the funds in line with fund documents.
Provide ad hoc analysis on profitability, new business initiatives and office expansion.
Regulatory capital, tax and treasury
Calculate regulatory capital and liquidity requirements, including the FCA IFPR / ICARA process and MIFIDPRU and other regulatory returns, as applicable.

Coordinate corporate and partnership tax compliance (corporation tax, VAT, US partnership returns and K-1s) with external advisers.
Manage cash, bank relationships, payment approvals and FX hedging of the manager's non-base-currency costs.
Controls and systems
Own the finance control framework, policies and procedures, including expense, payments and delegated authority policies.
Improve finance systems and automation (e.g. Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, expense and AP tools).
Manage and develop the management company finance team, where applicable.
