About Semble

At Semble, we are on a mission to enable health professionals to amplify their impact. We improve the way healthcare is delivered to millions of people by providing doctors and their teams with powerful, innovative, intuitive and secure software. Our cloud-based clinical system is already used by thousands of clinicians, making their lives easier and saving them money, while structuring their health data to help research.

We are a passionate and driven team, proud to unite under strong cultural drivers:

  • Impact: We do work that matters.
  • Collaboration: We are in it together.
  • Human touch: We care deeply.

We are also quick to embrace new technologies. We have rapidly adopted AI internally, and we are always looking to work with people who are excited to augment their work with AI. This role can be carried out remotely, with a few days per month in our London or Paris office. We are unfortunately not able to consider candidates located outside the UK or France at this stage.

What you will be doing

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of Semble’s financial reporting across our UK and French entities. You will oversee the month-end close, strengthen financial processes and controls, with a keen understanding of where AI can be effectively deployed, and support the continued development of a scalable Finance function.

You will:

  • Own, develop and manage a financial operation that is robust, reliable and audit-ready, capable of producing high integrity output, month in and month out. This needs to continually evolve with technology available to us, and with the needs of a high-growth business.
  • Lead and own the monthly close, including the relevant processes, to deliver accurate, timely management accounts, investor reporting, and a suitable internal control environment for a Series C + company.
  • Responsible for day-to-day treasury activities and appropriate controls.
  • Lead on a wide range of compliance activities in the UK and France, such as statutory accounts and audits, VAT and other taxes, and other company secretarial duties, working with external auditors and advisers in an international context across both UK and France entities.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and simplify Finance processes, including through scalable, AI-enabled tools and workflows. Key areas are revenue, billing, deferred revenue and other SaaS-related activity, as well as thorough oversight of AR and AP.
  • Assist with management of the company ESOP as well as other administrative/ CoSec duties.
  • Manage, support and develop one direct report, while working closely with the CFO and FP&A to ensure core financial outputs support planning and decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
