Big Sky Living Ltd is the central resource company for the Big Sky Group. As a group, we provide a wide range of property services, from speculative new home developments to commercial and residential property management. We are a growing, values-led organisation with ambitious plans and are now seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our leadership team.

This is a key strategic role with responsibility for leading the finance function, managing the Finance Team, and providing high-quality financial reporting and insight to the Operations Director, Board and shareholders. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in business planning, budgetary control, treasury management, governance, statutory compliance and financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Finance Team.
  • Own the annual business planning and budgeting process.
  • Produce management accounts, board reports and shareholder reporting.
  • Manage cashflow forecasting, treasury and funding arrangements.
  • Oversee statutory accounts, audit and tax compliance.
  • Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and insight.
  • Lead the completion of the migration from Sage 50 to Sage Intacct.
  • Maintain robust financial controls and governance processes.

Requirements

We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance management role. You will be commercially minded, highly organised, and confident communicating complex financial information to a range of stakeholders. Experience within property, development, construction or housing-related sectors would be advantageous.
