Join Kelvin Power and help shape the future of critical infrastructure.

At Kelvin Power, part of the global VINCI Energies group, we're looking for an experienced Financial Controller to play a key role in driving the financial performance of our growing business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with operational teams, influencing business decisions, and making a real impact. Reporting to the Business Unit General Manager, with a close working relationship with the Finance Director, you'll take ownership of the financial management of the business unit while leading and developing a small finance and administration team.

If you're looking for a varied role where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the business unit by providing accurate reporting, commercial insight, and robust financial controls.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading all financial activities across the business unit.
  • Producing monthly management accounts, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Partnering with operational managers to provide commercial insight and support decision making.
  • Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Monitoring KPIs including project performance, debtors, invoice lag, and overhead expenditure.
  • Supporting Project Managers with project accounting and financial performance reviews.
  • Managing cash flow, forecasting, and credit control.
  • Overseeing VAT, CIS, and Corporation Tax processes.
  • Managing statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with VINCI Energies Group financial controls and reporting requirements.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the finance and administration team.
  • Supporting wider business initiatives, including environmental and HR reporting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
