Do you want to take a fast-growing small business with committed investment and help transform it into a market leader?

QDrive Performance is looking for a Financial Controller with proven experience in car rental, leasing, or fleet finance. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role where you’ll own finance operations while helping shape strategy, build a finance team, and drive growth alongside the leadership.

YOUR ROLE AT QDRIVE

  • Manage all day-to-day finance operations (invoicing, reconciliations, payments).
  • Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasting, and P&L reporting.
  • Track fleet ROI, financing, leasing, depreciation, and disposal schedules.
  • Negotiate with lenders, leasing companies, and investors to optimise capital structures.
  • Support the CEO & COO on acquisitions, buy-and-build strategy, and investor reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC, VAT, Companies House, and audit requirements.
  • Build scalable finance processes, systems, and investor reporting frameworks.
  • Oversee insurance, damage, and claims management from a financial perspective.
  • Initially manage one Management Accountant, with the mandate to build and structure the finance team as the business grows.

Your Skills Matter

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 3–5 years PQE.
  • Essential: Experience in car rental, leasing, fleet management, or other asset-heavy businesses.
  • Strong financial modelling and scenario planning skills (fleet valuations, IRR/ROI, funding).
  • Proven ability to work with banks, underwriters, and investors.
  • Hands-on and entrepreneurial — comfortable rolling sleeves up in a scaling business.
  • Leadership potential — able to build and structure a finance function around business growth.
