The Role

We are recruiting a Financial Controller for a successful and growing privately owned manufacturing business based in Worcestershire.

This is a broad senior finance position offering a good mix of financial control, management reporting, commercial analysis, and team leadership. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function while providing the insight needed to support business performance and future growth.

The role would suit an experienced Financial Controller or Finance Manager who enjoys being hands-on, developing a team, and working closely with operational and commercial colleagues.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the month-end process and production of management information
  • Providing analysis and commentary around business performance
  • Managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Monitoring cash flow and supporting effective working capital management
  • Maintaining strong financial controls and balance sheet integrity
  • Supporting statutory reporting and the year-end audit process
  • Providing commercial analysis to support business decisions
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation
  • Leading, coaching, and developing members of the finance team
  • Reviewing existing finance processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting the senior finance leadership with projects and wider business initiatives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
