Financial Controller (Part Time, 2 days p/w), Occasional London travel, £30-35k p/a

Our client is a long-established association, operating through a lean, largely virtual structure. The organisation uses its resources to support member companies and advance their business interests.

The organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take end-to-end ownership of its finance function. This is a broad Financial Controller role and calls for someone senior and credible who is equally comfortable advising the Chair and Board, preparing statutory accounts and dealing with day-to-day transactions and reconciliations.

The role is expected to require approximately two days per week, with flexibility in the working pattern and greater time commitment around quarter ends and year end. There is no head office, so the successful candidate will be home-based and able to travel to London when required; travel is not expected to be significant.

The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced Financial Controller, Finance Director, portfolio finance professional or senior accountant seeking a high-autonomy part-time appointment.

Key Responsibilities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
