Financial Controller (Part-Time) - Greater Belfast - Exclusive

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing consultancy business to recruit a part-time Financial Controller to join its team based in the Greater Belfast area.

Our client is an established consultancy business supporting a diverse portfolio of clients across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. Following continued growth, the organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of its finance function and provide high-quality commercial insight to the senior leadership team.

  • £50,000 - £60,000 (FTE) and benefits package;
  • Part-time hours (22.5 hours);
  • Flexible and hybrid working options;

The Role:

As the successful Financial Controller, you will report directly to the Company Directors. You will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts & reporting packs;
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow cycles;
  • Overseeing transactional finance, working capital, payroll, VAT, and statutory compliance;
  • Managing the year-end process and relationships with external accountants and auditors;
  • Strengthening financial controls, systems, reporting dashboards, and processes;
  • Supporting pricing, strategic planning, and wider business growth initiatives.

The Person:

The successful Financial Controller will meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent;
  • Strong senior finance experience;
  • Strong management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management experience;
  • Strong Excel & IT skills.
