Financial Controller - SG Partnership

We are working with a growing private equity backed healthcare business to recruit a Financial Controller as the organisation continues to scale and develop its finance function.

The business operates within the wider health and care sector, delivering specialist services across the UK. Following a period of growth and investment, there is an increased focus on strengthening financial reporting, technical accounting, controls and commercial insight to support the next stage of the organisation’s development.

This is a hands on Financial Controller position with responsibility across a small group structure. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you’ll take ownership of the group’s financial reporting, statutory requirements, tax and financial controls, while providing the insight needed to support commercial and operational decision making.

The role would suit an experienced ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability and willingness to remain hands on. Part time applicants are particularly welcomed, although the business is open to both part time and full time candidates.

Why join?

  • Growing private equity backed healthcare business – Join an established healthcare organisation at an important stage of its development, with continued investment supporting the next phase of growth.
  • Senior, broad finance remit – Take ownership across management reporting, statutory accounts, tax, financial control, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow rather than being restricted to one area of finance.
  • High level of autonomy – Play a key role within a lean finance structure, taking genuine ownership of the numbers and working closely with senior leadership.
  • Technical & commercial exposure – Combine strong financial control, statutory reporting and tax responsibilities with commercial analysis and operational business partnering.
  • Influence the wider business – Build relationships with operational teams, improve financial understanding and provide practical solutions that support better decision making.
  • Part time opportunity – A genuinely senior Financial Controller position offering flexibility for an experienced finance professional seeking a part time role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
