Role Description

The Financial Controller is a part-time role with a hybrid work arrangement that combines on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, monthly P&L, forecasting, expenses, PO management, the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and management reports.

The Financial Controller will manage accounting records, ensure accurate financial reporting, monitor cash flow, and support budgeting and forecasting processes. The role also involves maintaining internal controls, supporting audits, advising on financial policies, and collaborating with leadership to provide insights that guide strategic and operational decisions. The Financial Controller will work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial performance with business objectives and uphold compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Strong Accounting and Finance skills, including experience managing general ledger activities and overseeing transactional processes.
  • Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to prepare, analyse, and present accurate and timely reports to stakeholders.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, evaluate risks, and support decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent, or a relevant degree in finance, accounting, or business.
  • Experience in controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, preferably within IT services or consulting environments.
  • Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems, as well as strong Excel skills for modelling and analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating with diverse teams and communicating complex financial information clearly.
  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements; international exposure is an advantage.
