Jalin Design – Finance Controller (London)

Jalin Design is a global luxury uniform design and manufacturing business operating across the UK, Europe, Caribbean, Middle East, and USA.

We operate across multiple entities, currencies, and jurisdictions, including international EOR structures and complex global operations.

We are looking for a hands-on Finance Controller to bring structure, control, and visibility to the business.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in London.

The Role

You own the detail. You make sure nothing gets missed.

Working alongside the Finance Director, you will take responsibility for day-to-day financial control, reporting, compliance, and operational finance across the business.

This role requires accuracy, consistency, and strong organizational control in a fast-moving international environment.

What You Will Do

Financial Control

  • Own month-end close
  • Bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reporting
  • Support operational teams with financial accuracy and visibility

Cash & Working Capital

  • Manage AR and AP cycles
  • Track weekly cash position
  • Support cashflow forecasting
  • Align supplier payments with production timelines and delivery schedules

Payroll

  • Ensure 3rd Party UK payroll provider information is accurate for monthly Payroll
  • Ensure PAYE and HMRC submissions are accurate and on time
  • Oversee international payroll through EOR providers
  • Manage US payroll cycles (twice monthly)

Compliance & Filings (Critical)

Manage and deliver all deadlines across:

UK

  • Companies House
  • Corporation tax
  • VAT

International Entities

  • Local filings and compliance
  • Import-related financial requirements where applicable

Business Compliance

  • ISO 9001
  • ISO 14001

Calendar & Control Systems

  • Maintain master finance and compliance calendar
  • Track all deadlines using 30 / 14 / 7 day visibility system
  • Ensure early visibility of risks or delays
  • Coordinate with FD and external advisors

Team Oversight

  • Oversee junior accountant
  • Ensure AR, AP, reconciliations, and payroll preparation are completed accurately and on time
  • Maintain structure, accountability, and operational standards

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Finance Controller or similar
  • Strong UK accounting and tax knowledge
  • Experience working across multi-entity environments
  • International payroll and EOR exposure advantageous
  • Strong Excel and systems capability

Package

  • £50,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
  • Full-time, on-site role based in London
