Job Title: Financial Controller

Salary: £75,000-86,000

Location: Nottingham

Qualifications: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified

Responsibilities Include (but aren't limited to)

  • Preparing and distributing the monthly financial reporting pack to the CFO and CEO, including variance analysis against budget and prior year.
  • Managing the year-end process including the year-end trial balance, coordinating the statutory accounts production and ensuring accounts are filed within the required timeframe.
  • Ownership of the monthly management accounts process.
  • Maintaining and improving the business’s system of financial controls.
  • Supporting the CFO in the annual budgeting process.
  • Preparing and maintaining a weekly updated three month cash flow forecast in coordination with the CFO.
  • Managing a small team.

What You Need

  • Must be fully qualified accountant, ideally with 5+ years PQE.
  • Demonstrable experience in a Financial Controller position.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience in a PE environment would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • SME background would be preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to build valuable relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Immediately available candidates or candidates with sub two month notice periods would be at an advantage (but again, not essential).
