Financial Controller
Central Belt - Scotland
Hybrid
£80,000-£85,000
We’re looking for a commercially minded Financial Controller to join my client's Finance team in Scotland's Central Belt.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in driving financial performance, strengthening controls and providing insight that supports business decision-making. You’ll also act as deputy to the Finance Director and work closely with senior leaders across the business.
The role
You’ll take ownership of:
- Monthly management and Group reporting, including P&L and performance analysis
- Annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and weekly cash flow forecasting
- Month-end, balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and financial controls
- Audit, statutory reporting, tax and compliance
- Banking relationships and covenant compliance
- Improving finance processes, systems, reporting and data quality
- Leading, coaching and developing members of the Finance team
- Supporting the Finance Director and wider leadership team with commercial insight

About you
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or ICAS) with strong experience across management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial control.

Experience in FMCG or manufacturing, FP&A would be advantageous, as would ERP/SAP experience and previous team leadership.
Most importantly, you’ll be commercially curious, confident challenging the status quo and passionate about using Finance to help the business perform.
