Are you a technically strong, practice-trained accountant looking for a broad international Financial Controller role within Media & Sport.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of international entities spanning the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Leading financial control, statutory reporting, audit, tax compliance and group reporting activities, while managing a small team and partnering with stakeholders across finance, legal, tax and treasury.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ownership of month-end and period-end accounting processes across multiple international entities.
  • Management of group reporting, quarterly reporting packs, transfer pricing calculations and tax-related submissions.
  • Ensuring compliance with US GAAP requirements and supporting technical accounting matters.
  • Preparation of technical accounting papers and ensuring accounting treatments are appropriately documented.
  • Leading statutory audits and overseeing statutory accounts, tax compliance and regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Managing and developing a team of two, providing leadership, coaching and support.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for offshore shared service teams and external advisers.
  • Supporting cash flow forecasting and partnering closely with treasury on funding requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with HR on payroll, benefits and related accounting processes.
  • Driving process improvements, strengthening controls and embedding finance best practice across the organisation.

We're keen to speak with qualified finance professionals who combine strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to operate in a fast-paced international environment.

You'll Ideally Bring:

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification with at least five years' post-qualified experience.
  • Strong audit and accounting background, ideally gained within a Big Four or leading practice environment.
  • Excellent understanding of financial reporting, close processes and financial controls.
  • Good working knowledge of US GAAP and experience operating within a SOX-controlled environment.
  • Experience writing technical accounting papers and analysing complex accounting matters.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work cross-functionally across global teams.
  • Advanced Excel capability and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Additional experience within media, sports rights, international groups, SAP or IFRS/UK GAAP environments would be advantageous.
