SF Partners are delighted to be working with a superb business in the recruitment of a Financial Controller
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller who enjoys combining hands-on financial management with team leadership and commercial involvement.
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information, developing the team and driving improvements across reporting, systems and processes.
The role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to make a real impact within a well-established business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Lead, manage and develop a small finance team.
- Take responsibility for budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, providing insight to support business decisions.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to review financial performance, identify risks and highlight opportunities.
- Review and improve financial processes, systems and internal controls to drive greater efficiency.
- Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators, providing meaningful analysis and recommendations.
- Support the wider financial strategy and contribute to ongoing business improvement initiatives.
- Ensure financial policies, procedures and reporting requirements are maintained to a high standard.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including financial institutions and professional advisers.
- Provide financial guidance to operational teams, supporting commercial decision-making across the business.

About You
We are looking for a confident, commercially minded Financial Controller who is comfortable getting involved in the detail whilst maintaining a broader view of the business.
You will ideally have:

- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance position.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Previous experience managing and developing a finance team.
- The ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive approach to improving systems, controls and financial processes.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
