Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Lead full set of accounts for all EU subsidiaries, standardize accounting treatment for e-commerce revenue, marketplace commission, cross-border logistics, local procurement and marketing expenses.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements and regional profitability analysis, deliver variance review and profit improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate annual & interim statutory audits with local Big 4 auditors, ensure smooth consolidation reporting for JD listed group.

FP&A, Budget & Cost Control

  • Own annual budget cycle and monthly rolling forecast across Europe, partner with operation, procurement and logistics teams to decompose revenue & cost targets.
  • Track budget performance, identify cost-saving opportunities in warehousing, logistics, indirect procurement and advertising spend.
  • Conduct financial feasibility evaluation for new market expansion, local vendor cooperation and fulfillment center investment projects.

European Tax & Compliance Governance

  • Manage full VAT compliance for UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, oversee tax filing, transfer pricing planning and mitigate local tax inspection risks.
  • Establish robust internal control frameworks for payment, contract review, inventory & asset management, comply with SOX requirements, conduct regular risk self-assessment.
  • Oversee multi-currency cash flow planning, foreign exchange risk hedging and banking relationship management across Europe.

Procurement & Vendor Finance Management

  • Support indirect procurement categories (logistics, facility, IT, marketing & corporate services), review financial clauses of vendor contracts, manage AP payment cycle and cost negotiation.

Business Partnership & Digital Transformation

  • Act as finance BP for local business teams, provide data-driven financial insights to balance growth and profitability targets.
  • Design standardized EU finance SOPs, drive implementation of ERP and Purchase-to-Pay digital systems.
  • Align strategies and share market intelligence with global finance team based in China headquarters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related fields; ACCA / CIMA / CPA holders preferred, Master’s degree a plus.
  • 8–12 years progressive Financial Controller experience in multinational corporations, solid track record in European cross-border e-commerce / retail & overseas fulfillment finance.
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS, local EU tax regulations & VAT rules for UK, DE, NL or ES.
  • Fluent professional English; German / Spanish / Dutch language capability is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle overseas subsidiary finance: month-end close, group reporting, audit & tax filing; familiar with cross-border e-commerce revenue & logistics cost accounting.
  • Proficiency in SAP / Oracle / NetSuite ERP, advanced Excel financial modeling; prior P2P system implementation experience is a bonus.
  • Strong cross-cultural stakeholder management, proven ability to identify financial risks and deliver practical solutions.
  • Candidates with Amazon / PDD cross-border finance background or deep European local supply chain experience will be prioritized.
