Financial Controller

Job Title: Financial Controller

Reports To: CFO / CEO

Location: Poole – Onsite, Monday to Friday – Moving to Westbourne in October

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

About Us

We are a growing group of companies specialising in housing solutions for organisations with complex accommodation needs across the corporate, healthcare, construction, and insurance sectors. Backed by over 20 years of experience, we provide tailored accommodation strategies, combining short- and long-term housing, property management, and bespoke client support. As the business continues to grow, we are strengthening our finance function to ensure it is fit to support the next stage of development. This has created an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Financial Controller to join the business in a newly created role.

The Opportunity

This is not a business-as-usual Financial Controller role.

As a newly created position, this role offers the opportunity to shape, develop, and lead the finance function within a rapidly growing business. You will have the opportunity to improve processes, develop the accounts team, strengthen financial controls, and enhance the support finance provides to the wider business.

Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you will play a key role in improving financial reporting, supporting better decision-making, and ensuring the finance team becomes a proactive and valued partner to the business.

We are looking for more than a technically strong accountant. We need a confident finance professional who can take ownership, support the development of the team, drive high standards, and build strong relationships across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
