Financial Controller | Lancashire | Permanent | £85 - 95,000 (doe)

iO Associates are working with a manufacturing business who are looking to appoint a Financial Controller to lead the on-site finance function and support stakeholders with reporting, forecasting, and commercial insight. This is a broad, hands-on role covering the full finance cycle for a busy production site.

You'll take ownership of site finance performance and governance, including:

  • Leading and developing a finance team of 4
  • Owning month-end close, management accounts, and reporting packs
  • Delivering weekly/monthly performance reporting and presenting results to stakeholders
  • Managing cashflow forecasting and cash management for site and group leadership
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register and coordinating periodic asset verification
  • Overseeing purchase ledger and sales ledger processes to ensure strong controls and compliance
  • Managing accruals and prepayments
  • Supporting annual budget build and contributing to the five-year plan
  • Liaising with external auditors and supporting statutory/annual reporting requirements
  • Working cross-functionally with operations and sales leadership to drive sound decision-making

Experience required:

  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified
  • Proven experience at Financial Controller / Site Controller / Plant Controller level (or a strong Finance Manager ready to step up)
  • Strong manufacturing finance background, including costing (e.g., standard costing, inventory/WIP, variance analysis)
  • Confident managing deadlines and running a structured close process
  • Comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders across operations and commercial teams
  • Strong ERP and advanced Excel capability
  • US GAAP exposure is desirable
