At Planteria Group, we help organisations reimagine their workplaces, making them more productive, healthy, and sustainable. From creating warm, welcoming reception areas to designing large-scale living architecture, we turn ordinary spaces into vibrant places where people genuinely love to be.

We’ve grown from a small family business into the UK’s leading interior landscaping specialist, transforming workplaces and commercial environments with the power of nature, to international expansion with operations in the US. Along the way, we’ve partnered with some of the UK’s, and now US’s most recognisable brands to bring biophilic design to life, from lush office greenery and elegant corporate floristry to spectacular roof gardens and living walls.

Our success is driven by a fantastic team of 185 employees internationally, and we’re continuing to expand. We’re now looking for passionate individuals to join us on this journey and help us shape the future of sustainable, inspiring workplace design.

Your Impact:

As Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day leadership of our Finance function, ensuring the business has the financial insight, controls, and reporting needed to make confident decisions. Reporting to the Finance Director and leading a team of five, you'll be a trusted partner to leaders across the business, helping drive performance, profitability, and sustainable growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine strategic thinking with operational excellence. You'll oversee everything from financial reporting and cashflow management to budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and team development, ensuring Finance operates as a proactive and commercially focused business partner. You will:

  • Lead, develop and inspire the Finance Team, creating a high-performing culture with clear priorities and accountability.
  • Own the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Produce and critically review management accounts, providing meaningful analysis and insight to support decision-making.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting activities, working closely with department leaders across the business.
  • Drive cashflow management and working capital performance through effective forecasting and controls.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and wider transactional finance activities.
  • Ensure robust financial controls are maintained, with all balance sheet accounts appropriately reviewed and reconciled.
  • Manage VAT, PAYE, CIS, corporation tax and other statutory compliance requirements.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to challenge performance, identify opportunities, and improve profitability.
  • Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, systems and reporting capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
