Requirements of the role
The Financial Crime Market Intervention department, within the Specialist Directorate, provides specialist expertise to help reduce the risk that regulated businesses are used for financial crime.
The department includes four Financial Crime Specialist Supervision teams, a Sanctions Supervision Team, a Fraud Supervision Team, and a Risk, Data and Strategy Team. Working with colleagues across the FCA and external partners, it focuses on money laundering, financial sanctions, fraud, bribery, and corruption. This role sits in the Risk, Data and Strategy Team.

Role Responsibilities
- Help shape innovative data-led approaches that enhance the FCA’s ability to prevent and detect financial crime, protecting consumers and markets across the UK
- Turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that support supervisory decisions and drive meaningful regulatory outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues across Data and Supervision to deliver impactful projects that enhance the FCA’s financial crime capabilities
- Develop specialist skills in data analytics within a high-profile regulatory environment, building skills and experience that can help protect millions of consumers
