What To Expect
As a Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring Analyst you will join us on our journey and undertake a valuable role as a member of the Financial Crime team. You will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of Post Office’s overall financial crime and loss prevention objectives.
The primary expectation of the role is to support the effective identification, review and escalation of potentially fraudulent or suspicious transactional activity across the Post Office network and developing cases through the transaction monitoring process to resolution, including corrective action where appropriate and in line with procedures. Additional Financial Crime Operational activity related to the analysis and financial crime monitoring of products and services will be limited around transaction monitoring related analysis and support activities.

Experience
What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience in a financial crime, fraud, AML or transaction monitoring environment (preferred but not essential).
- Experience reviewing transactional data and identifying unusual or suspicious activity.
- Experience working within defined procedures and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience delivering work to a high standard within agreed service levels.
Skills And Capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to assess information and apply judgement appropriately.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Confidence to escalate concerns where appropriate
- Comfortable working with data, systems and reporting tools
- Strong personal integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Additional Requirements
- This role may require early, late or weekend working in line with business requirements.
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and development.
